“WHICH IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE…”

Romans 12:1 - “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

Here’s finally a written post (not re-blogged / picture / video / link etc)… haha.

This weekend is AE weekend! Having gone through 2 of the 3 services this weekend my only conclusion is WOW! I am really so amazed at so many things:

Firstly how hard our people worked to invite people! Our church is so amazing. We promote AE weekend and everyone just goes all out to invite - not just parents but principals, teachers etc. They really caught the heart of what AE is about and the power of AE and went out so boldly in faith to invite! Reading #oneinitiative on twitter is so encouraging and overwhelming. We are truly raising up a generation who would give God the best years of their lives!

Secondly how our church people really help and support one another! Last night and this morning the testimony team worked hard to get all the 3 testimonies ready for today. And I was so heartened to see how everyone doesn’t just focus on their own testimony but really help one another out! We cover for one another and work as a team. And also the service ops were so powerful! It wasn’t an easy service but I saw how they stayed so late, came so early, worked so hard, never complained even when there were so many last minute changes but all done with such great spirit and attitude. And also last night when we needed to find photos, how everyone I asked pitched in with ideas, help, searching, staying late just to help me out even when it had nothing to do with them. We are truly a dream team!

Thirdly how Pastors and leaders are so amazingly sharp! I saw how Garrett, Christian, Pastors think, spot potential problems, find areas that would bring up the message and heart of the testimony and even in terms of running the service. They are so sharp and I hope one day I can think at their level! I can grow!

Fourthly how Pastors, the WT, everyone who are involved in all 3 svcs are so excellent. I see Pst How and Lia going on stage so many times yet they still make it so fresh, not boring, always giving their best even though they must be tired and done it so many times. I wanna be like them, to give my best always. And Pst’s sermon is brilliant but I shan’t even go there or else I can’t write finish this :p

Fifthly I AM SO GLAD TO BE IN TESTIMONY MINISTRY! I can’t even describe the feeling of a big day, everyone screaming working hard and chionging together before service but when we see the person go on stage to share and own the stage, speaking confidently and anointed, supporting Pastors, helping carry the message across, just seeing how God has changed peoples’ lives; all the hard work is worth it. I love to be able to communicate the heart of God and the power of God, to be able to support the service and bring it to higher levels! Awesomeness indeed. And this doesn’t even include my pastoral work which I get to change lives and build people and do followups, CGs, DCRs, raise leaders, bring people into their destinies… Nor does it include my sermon slides where I can help bring God’s word even clearer to peoples’ lives and support Pst as they preach :)

So why I am radical and give my life to serve even though I get tired, work so hard, not paid, sacrificing, discouraged, sometimes feel like giving up and all - well this is it, isn’t it? What we do here, builds the kingdom of God. It changes lives. It is building for eternity, it is going beyond success to significance. Just knowing the purpose of it, wow I could do this forever.

Thank You God for showing up, for making it powerful, for taking our little efforts and using it to change lives. Thank You God for giving me the privilege to serve You and do something amazing in just 1 weekend. And I get to do this everyday and every week and every year of my life. That’s just - woah :)
